Après plus de 10 ans que l'aéroport de Kai Tak a fermé ses portes, FlyTampa réalise une répresentation du décor pour Flight Simulator. Presque 14 mois ont été nécessaires pour la création de ce décor magnifique, faisant partie de l'une des villes le plus vibrantes du monde. Le tout sans affecter vos framerates! Caractéristiques: - Décor de la ville d'Hong Kong comprenant les élévations du terrain, landclass, textures du sol photoréalisres et bâtiments réels.
- Aéroport Kai-Tak International (VHHX, fermé en 1998)
- Système d'approche en courbe denommé "Checkerboard Approach".
- 2 Heliports (Peninsula Hotel et le Shun-Tak Ferry heliport).
- Bateaux animés tels que l'Hong Kong Starferry, jonques, péniches, etc.

After seeing hundreds of videos of 747s and A340s turning final at the checkerboard hill, I was finally able to do it at the controls of my very own virtual airliner. Despite the two issues with this scenery (Fences, and Possible Frame Rate issues at higher settings) it is definitely a winner in my book. Unlike most scenery packages, you get most of a densely packed city as well as the airport in the package, and it is all extremely well executed. "...The final flaw that will really get to people is performance. With so much custom scenery, there’s no way performance can be better than default, and this Hong Kong is no exception. Frame-rates will drop by quite a bit with this scenery, using the intensive options or not, however if you had default Hong Kong running well before, there’s a good chance that given a little configuration time, you’ll find a good balance between performance and detail to still find it enjoyable to fly over.
