MyTraffic 2006

39,99 € => 19,99 € AI Traffic is a feature which has become an integral part of simulated flying. You are no longer alone, aircraft taxi on the ground and fly between the airports. The default AI Traffic, however, is severely lacking in realism. Limited to a handful of fictional airlines, by default, most international airports are deserted or show traffic that may have been realistic 40 years ago.

MyTraffic, a self-contained package populating the FS2004 world with realistic traffic, real airlines, 162 aircraft types. By associating airlines with particular regions, hubs and countries, we have made it possible to view the right airlines in the right regions, without making them boring to see one airline only all day.

MyTraffic 2006 Version 4.0 creates AI traffic into 6.500 airports. Only about 1.000 of these are ever visited by airliners like the 737, another thousand see regular commuters, but most of them are General Aviation air fields, and hundreds are military only. Airliners are only a small part of any realistic traffic product for FS2004. MyTraffic 2006 takes this into account by adding many new General Aviation and military aircraft models, even naval aircrafts and helicopters.

All these features exceed all other existing or planned AI traffic projects by far, but this is not all. The biggest new feature that differentiates MyTraffic 2006 from MyTraffic 2004? Well here it is:
MyTraffic 2006 Version 4.0 does not only provide you with contemporary AI traffic. It also allows you to use FS9 as a time machine and go back a couple of decades - with a few mouse clicks you will have an appropriate traffic around you. By selecting the year 1990 you will have Concordes at Heathrow and CDG - and no 777s.

MyTraffic 2006 Version 4.0 consists of four main parts:
  • The traffic bgl files: These file contains all the data (flight plans) for the AI Traffic. With MyTraffic installed, FS2004 simulates 50.2000 flights per day.
  • Addon airports: About 1.900 airports are extended in their AI capabilities, many hundred of them have no AI traffic with stock FS2004, among these many airbases. Unique to MyTraffic 2004 is that even aircraft carriers capable to handle AI traffic have been added.
  • The aircraft and aircraft repaints: This package includes repaints of a few default FS2004 planes and 150 additional aircraft, each painted in several airline liveries. MyTraffic 2006 does more than 1.250 real airlines or air wings. The following table shows the aircrafts included in the MyTraffic 2006 Version 4.0. With all the variations, including the unique registration number for each aircraft, there are approximately 38.000 simulated AI aircraft in MyTraffic. In other words: one half of the worlds jetliner fleet, and nice fraction of the military and general aviation fleets.
  • The sound file: You want the air traffic control to properly call the airlines. This version supports currently the USENGLISH, FRENCH, SPANISH and the GERMAN versions.

Recreating real-world traffic in a simulator is a mammoth task and due to practical and technical limitations, MyTraffic might fall short in some areas. By today, about 6.500 commercial aircraft operators (without general aviation, flight schools, aero clubs, business jets and military) are registered with 55.000 aircraft. The top 200 airlines only account for a quarter of these, so any traffic concept should take special care for the small majority, but needs to make some abstraction. For example, you might find that particular (these are rare) airports have little commercial traffic. We ask for your feedback in that case. There are airlines that are not using any of the current planes, therefore we cannot include them in this package. Most of the airlines that use the current planes are represented. As MyTraffic grew over the years, you have to make more and more adventurous excursions to find these places for contempory schedules. For AI traffic settings more than 20 years ago, you will have less pain to find such white spots - filling these will take the next years and needs at least a thousand new paints and dozens of more models.

An extensive printed manual is included.

Reviews:

Conclusion by Flightsim.com :
"So, is MyTraffic 2006 worth the money? Definitely, if you are after a non-timetable-based package with the largest possible selection of AI planes and liveries - and if you need military AI, then MyTraffic is the only one of the 'top four' that can do the job, the inclusion of military chopper AI being a huge plus...."
