Located on the north shore of O'ahu (Hawaii), a small airfield awaits your visit. Dillingham has a long and wide runway (it used to be a training base for the US Army and they like big runways) but these days it is only used for recreational aviation. The weather conditions and the stunning setting on the ocean shore make it a near perfect location for gliding and parachuting.
With this product we tried to get the 'feel' of the airfield just right. Dillingham is a relaxed airport, with friendly people who never seem to be in a hurry. The small details all over the airport contribute to making this a new 'home' in FSX, a place where your aircraft is based while you explore the wonderful Hawaiian Islands.
Designed by Bill Womack after an extensive visit last winter, it comes clear why Bill has such a large following of GA and bush pilots. He has an incredible eye for detail and the technical knowledge to develop it for FSX.
Highly detailed scenery of the airport and its near surroundings
Extensive AI Traffic files
Pure FSX code, resulting is good frame rates
Includes sound effects and animated sea birds
All objects (including the many humans) are fully 3D
Fully compatible with all mesh add-ons we know about
Full photographic base for the airfield

Conclusion by Avsim.com: "...When you are a favorite of the Hawaiian area or are living there, then I can tell you it is absolutely worth your money and especially in combination with MegaSceneryX Hawaii. When you just want to have it for fun, it’s up to you to decide. What Aerosoft has created is awesome, and let's be honest with that. Although it is a very small, simple airfield without any jetways, passenger busses and carts driving around etc, it looks very realistic, with lots of details, nice looking trees and bushes and perfect looking cars. With all of that in mind, it makes it a good product."
Conclusion by Ian Person, Screenshotartist.co.uk: "...All in all, I think I have one complaint with Dillingham - made worse, if anything, when adding it to MegaScenery Hawaii... It makes all the other airports on Oahu look awfully boring and basic in comparison. So. Where are you doing next, Bill?"
Conclusion by FlightSim.com:: "This scenery really clicks for me. It's a calm, peaceful field, and a great place for screen shots and starting a tour of Hawaii. If you want somewhere to go to relax and unwind from CAT 3 approaches, then the peaceful atmosphere (and lovely environment sounds) will definitely do the trick. But be careful, if you sink completely into the Hawaiian's laid-back lifestyle, Don't be surprised if you find yourself falling into their relaxed cadence, and smiling more than you're used to. You're on island time now.. "
Conclusion by Simming La Vida Loca: "Bill Womack goes Aloha! with his gorgeous rendition of a Hawaiian gliding and parachuting sanctuary. And you get to try, for eu 15 (some us $ 18), what FSX can look like when developers really try. Photoreal 60cm base textures, hi-res mesh, custom buildings, objects, and the most life-like human figures I have ever seen in FS. This weekend may be raining dogs and cats outside, but I’m gliding in sunny Hawaii, baby! "
Conclusion by FsForums.co.uk: "This highly accurate airfield is next to the real thing, with great performance too. Well done once again Aerosoft! It’s nice to melt away and relax in your glider above Hawaii, enjoying the scenery. And the price is relaxing too; at €14.95 (roughly £11.70 at time of writing) it’s a bargain. You won’t be disappointed, go see for yourself!"
