Current Donation Project
Aerosoft is currently supporting the project „Kindergarden Construction in Seka Town“. The goal of this project is it to build a kindergarten in the city of Seka. Seka is a growing city in the Oromiya region counting more than 20,000 inhabitants. The life of the vast majority of people depends on agriculture which only generates little profit. Thus the population cannot bear the costs of the construction of a kindergarten themselves. The town provided the building plot for the kindergarten for free but construction work has to begin within 2 years. The kindergarten is supposed to give 120 children aged between four and seven an opportunity for a positive future. Besides conveying social and moral values in the community, a comprehensive provision of medical care at the kindergarten shall secure the well-being of the children who often suffer from diseases such as diarrhoea, skin-/ eye infections and cough. Furthermore, the children shall benefit from a broad preschool education preparing them for a successful academic career. Once the work is all done, about 10 people will start working there including three teachers, two tutors, a medical assistant, a principal etc. The total costs for the kindergarten, a kitchen, sanitation facilities and the enclosure of the plot amount to € 40,000 to € 50,000.
The structure of the kindergarden is already finished now and during the building work the workers found a water source on the area. This is a very happy coincidence, because the state itself does not have a public water system and water is a very valuable resource in the hot and dry regions of africa. To supply the kindergarden with water in the future, it is planned to install a pupme.
Thanks to the continous donations the building process makes great steps forwards. During our christmas-donation we received 1.149 Euro, which Aerosoft rounded up to 10.000 Euro. The completion of the kindergarden is now almost saved.
Even the kitchen in build up now. The kindergarden construction is on a very good way to be opened until the 09th of September. This is the official begin of the new school-year in Ethiopia. the bishop of the region , Aklilu Woldeghiorgis says:"the poor farmer-community of Keshe is yearning waiting for the kindergarden to open" .
We would like to ask all our customers for help, to complete the construction of the kindergarden as fast as possible.
