La plupart des amateurs de simulateurs de vol privilégient les vols dont la durée ne dépasse pas deux heures, et ce pour une bonne raison. Les parties des vols simulés considérées comme "amusantes" sont le départ et l'arrivée. Cela explique pourquoi les CRJ sont si populaires auprès des amateurs de simulateurs de vol.

Les avions de la série Bombardier CRJ comptent parmi les avions de ligne régionaux les plus utilisés aujourd'hui - toutes les 10 secondes, l'un d'entre eux décolle. Vous les trouverez dans la plupart des aéroports du monde entier. Bien qu'ils ne soient pas très populaires aux yeux des passagers car ces sièges sont effectivement très petits et il est impossible de se tenir debout si l'on est grand, les compagnies aériennes les préfèrent pour leur efficacité et leur fiabilité. La production de ces avions se poursuit et, bien que les nouveaux modèles soient dotés de meilleurs sièges, de plus grands coffres et d'une meilleure insonorisation, ils ne seront jamais aussi confortables.

Les pilotes aiment les piloter en raison de leur puissance, de leur agilité et du plaisir qu'ils ont à piloter manuellement. On les qualifie souvent de "sportifs". Le CRJ professional constitue une reconstruction complète du CRJ 700/900 en ajoutant de nouveaux modèles, une nouvelle modélisation, des systèmes mis à jour, une navigation verticale optionnelle, de tous nouveaux graphiques utilisant le PBR et un Electronic Flight Bag avec prise en charge des cartes, des listes de contrôle et des calculs.
