The airport was renamed Johnson-Bell Field in 1968 and in 2025 set a new record of 1,021,055 passengers. The airport covers 2,700 acres at an elevation of 3,206 feet.
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (IATA: BZN, ICAO: KBZN, FAA LID: BZN) (Gallatin Field) is an airport located in Belgrade, Montana, eight miles northwest of Bozeman. BZN, which opened in 1941, is now the busiest airport in MT, with 2,809,419 passengers in 2025. The airport covers 2,481 acres at an elevation of 4,473 feet.
Great Falls International Airport (IATA: GTF, ICAO: KGTF, FAA LID: GTF) is a public/military airport in city limits three miles southwest of central Great Falls in Cascade County, Montana. Great Falls International Airport was opened in November 1928. The airport was leased by the U.S. War Department during World War II and became a home for the 7th Ferrying Group (Air Transport Command) of the U.S. Army Air Forces during the war. During the war years, more than 7,500 bombers and fighter aircraft passed through Great Falls on their way to Europe and the Pacific. The airport covers 2,113 acres at an elevation of 3,680 feet. GTF also set a new record for 2025 with 387,416 passengers.
