Volume 3 of the Mount Everest Airport series brings you all the way to the top of the world!
This scenery includes Syangboche, an airstrip located above the scenic tourist town of Namche Bazaar and the last landing strip before Mount Everest. Its first and foremost challenge is its elevation at 3,780 m (12,402 ft); it is exposed to some of the most extreme and capricious weather conditions in the world, with heavy winds, fog and snowfall.

From here on up helicopters rule over aviation, buzzing up and down the valley to Mount Everest, bringing cargo to the camps, tourists to photo spots near the world’s tallest mountain and rescuing climbers from camps and small villages on the way.
