Hamburg is calling and The Bus is ready to go!
With the Hamburg City DLC, you experience the Hanseatic city from the perspective of a bus driver.
Five varied bus lines take you through green residential districts, industrial areas, high-rise neighborhoods, vibrant inner city streets and past world famous landmarks, right into one of Germany’s most fascinating cities.
The network connects the historic Speicherstadt district with Winterhude, St. Pauli, Barmbek, Steilshoop and Bramfeld.
From the bustling city center to quiet residential neighborhoods and modern commercial areas, every route showcases a different side of Hamburg.
Line 6 links the historic Speicherstadt with the Stadtpark area around Borgweg subway station. Line 17 runs from Feldstrasse via Winterhude and Barmbek to Bramfelder Dorfplatz. Line 7 connects Barmbek station with Steilshoop East, while Line 277 serves additional areas in Steilshoop West. The network is complemented by the new Line 218, running from Rübenkamp suburban railway station through Steilshoop to Heukoppel in eastern Bramfeld.
The routes themselves are highly diverse. While the inner city features narrow streets, historic architecture and dense urban scenery, northern Hamburg takes you through residential districts, industrial zones and striking high-rise developments.
Challenging construction sites along the Alster and in Hebebrandstrasse add realistic traffic situations and additional driving challenges.
Numerous famous landmarks and points of interest have been recreated in great detail.
The routes pass through the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district with its unique brick architecture, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, alongside the impressive Hamburg Central Station and the busy downtown area filled with theaters, museums and iconic streets.
Particularly impressive is the area around St. Pauli and the Heiligengeistfeld. Buses pass the massive Millertor intersection with the Millerntor Stadium, the beginning of the legendary Reeperbahn and the green-covered Feldstrasse bunker here.
Many of Hamburg’s landmarks are also visible from afar, including the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, the TV tower, the Spiegel building and other striking elements of Hamburg’s skyline. Furthermore the map contains countless individually created buildings, residential areas, industrial zones and lovingly detailed streets along all routes. The Alsterdorf depot in Tessenowweg, one of Hamburg Hochbahn’s most modern bus depots, has also been recreated in detail for the DLC.
In addition, a dedicated depot in Bramfelder Chaussee Süd is available for the economic mode, offering plenty of space for player owned buses and future expansions.
Hamburg’s Skyline – Within Reach
More than 300 unique objects were created specifically for this DLC. In addition, over 450 Hamburg adapted buildings and assets from The Bus building tool have been integrated into the map. Historic warehouse buildings, modern office complexes, bridges, stations and countless landmarks create an authentic city atmosphere.
A DLC That Breathes Hamburg
Subway trains cross your path, suburban rail services run through Barmbek and regional as well as long-distance trains pass through Hamburg Central Station. Harbor ferries and sightseeing boats bring life to Hamburg’s canals and waterways. Even the small details capture Hamburg’s unique atmosphere: red public trash bins with northern German humor, bicycle sheds, construction sites, markets and carefully designed streets.
Bridges, Bus Stops, Hamburg Precision
More than 40 bridges connect the different parts of the network. Every bus stop has been individually recreated, featuring authentic Hamburg style shelters, stop poles, ticket machines and digital passenger information displays.
