Take off from the local airport and enjoy this beautiful Island in the Tasman Sea close to Australia. Recreated with the latest FSX technologies and done right to the smallest detail (you will learn how to read a newspaper in FSX!) it is just a stunning place to fly to.
Lord How Island is a small bit of paradise on earth and its only problem is that it is incredibly far from where most people live. The Australians are lucky to be able to spend time there without having to fly half the globe! For Aerosoft it was easy to decide to do this project when Mat Dalton proposed it to us. His work is excellent quality and fits perfectly in our idea to cover the more special airports with dense scenery.
Although far from our main customer base this was a scenery project we really liked as it is a prime example of what we like in FSX, a high detail environment, difficult short runway and with an additional danger as there is no alternate airport in the region.

Conclusion by Avsim.com:
"Lord Howe Island is a unique product. Little can describe the approach to the island the first time as it comes into view. On one hand, the product feels right out of a movie set, reminiscent of the helicopter approach to the island in the movie “Jurassic Park”. On the other, it is 400 miles (740km) from the mainland, has a short runway that makes most fast movers unwelcome, and it covers a relatively small area. The airport is a great place to practice touch and go’s or even launch a seaplane tour with hard to beat visuals. Lord Howe Island screams to become the perfect demo to neighbors and friends, yet the lasting appeal may be a concern due to its remote location."
Conclusion by FlightSim.com:
"Lord Howe Island X is a great add-on of an idyllic holiday destination, except for the minor bugs. It does have limited appeal after a while because of its small size. However, the high quality textures really make the add-on and at $19.75 USD, it is good value."
